Killea Boys National School was founded in 1895 in the beautiful village of Dunmore East, Co. Waterford. We are proud of the part we have played in educating our local boys through the years.
Our students follow the usual primary curriculum path as follow:
- Junior Infants
- Senior Infants
- 1st Class
- 2nd Class
- 3rd Class
- 4th Class
- 5th Class
- 6th Class
Our focus is on celebrating the uniqueness of the child as it is expressed in each child’s personality, intelligence and potential for development. It is designed to nurture the child in all dimensions of his or her life—spiritual, moral, cognitive, emotional, imaginative, aesthetic, social and physical.
This is achieved through a wide variety of initiatives and forms part of the National Primary Curriculum.
Do take a look at the blog section of our website where we will share the various initiatives we’re taking to help educate our wonderful students here. There’s everything from Science to Art and Drama not to mention the wide array of sports we’re involved in. It’s a full curriculum and one designed to help your son reach his potential and hopefully instill in him a lifelong love for learning.
Times are changing and we are now embarking on an historic journey to discuss the amalgamation with the girls school. We are excited at the prospect of the possibilities for education in our local community and ask you to support us in this continuing effort.
We’ll keep you up to date on what’s happening in our News Section of the Blog so visit regularly.
